Breakdowns don't keep business hours, so neither do we. ALL OFF MOBILE MECHANICS is a fully equipped repair shop on wheels — we roll to your driveway, your job site, your curb on MLK, and fix it where it sits. Six days a week, around the clock.
We started out of a single van working the blocks around Vermont and MLK, doing brake jobs in apartment carports for people who couldn't afford to lose a day of work to a repair shop waiting room. Fifteen years later we run three trucks out of the same corner of South LA, and the promise hasn't changed: you call, we come, the car gets fixed in front of you.
Everything we do happens in your driveway, on the street, or in the lot where you parked. We carry the same tools a brick-and-mortar bay carries — lifts, jacks, torque wrenches, a full diagnostic scanner, and the parts most likely to be the problem. If it turns out to be something we can't finish on-site, we tell you straight instead of running up a bill.
No upsells. No "we found three other things." You get a price on the phone, a time we'll be there, and a mechanic who shows you the worn part before it goes in the trash.

What we fix
Most calls fall into one of these. If yours doesn't, call anyway — we've seen worse.
Grinding, a soft pedal, a pull to one side, or a light on the dash. We do full axle brake jobs in your driveway: pads, rotors, calipers, hardware, and a proper bleed. Most cars are done in under two hours, and you keep the old parts.
Click-click-click and nothing. We test the battery, the alternator, and the draw before we sell you anything — then install a new one on the spot if that's what it needs.
We pull the codes, then we actually chase them — live data, freeze-frame, smoke test if it needs one. You get a plain-English explanation of what's wrong and what it costs, not a printout.
The car cranks and won't catch, or it's dead silent when you turn the key. Starters, alternators, ignition components, fuel delivery — this is the call we get most at 2 a.m., and it's the one we're best at. We diagnose on-site and carry the common fitments on the truck.
Full synthetic, conventional, or whatever your manual calls for. Oil and filter, plus a top-off and a look at the belts, hoses, and fluid levels while we're under there.
Flats swapped, spares mounted, serpentine belts replaced, hoses and clamps sorted. If you're stranded on the shoulder, call us before you call a tow — a lot of what looks like a tow job isn't.
Running hot, losing coolant, steam from the hood. Radiators, water pumps, thermostats, hoses, and pressure testing — done in place, with the coolant properly captured and taken away, not dumped in the gutter.
The process
Tell us the year, make, model, and what it's doing — or not doing. We'll ask a couple of questions, give you a ballpark on the phone, and tell you honestly whether it's something we can handle on-site.
Give us the address and a window. Home, work, the lot on the corner — as long as the car is legally parked and we can safely work around it, that's the shop for the day. Most calls are same-day, and overnight calls get answered live.
We diagnose, quote the parts and labor, and don't start until you say go. When it's done we show you what came off, start it up with you standing there, and take the old parts and fluids with us.

Sunday we're closed. If you're stuck on a Sunday, leave a message and we'll call you back first thing Monday morning.

Where we roll
Our trucks live in the neighborhood, so the fastest response is right here: Historic South-Central, Vermont Square, Exposition Park, Jefferson Park, West Adams, University Park, Florence, Watts, and down MLK toward Inglewood. We also cover Downtown, Koreatown, Mid-City, Boyle Heights, and the Crenshaw corridor most days.
Outside that ring we'll still come — just call and we'll tell you straight whether it makes sense or whether you're better off with someone closer. No fake "we'll be there in 20 minutes" if we're an hour out.
